Last Monday happened a lot of horrible things. The attack in Berlin, but also Zurich and Turkey. All horrible things and then I question myself, why? What would the terrorist think, why would he kill innocent people?

A certain group?

We can all agree with the fact that a terrorist doesn’t have a certain believe, a certain group or a certain country. With the attack of Berlin we all saw that the attacker doesn’t have to be a refugee. We can’t blame a certain group or groups. It can even be someone who lived in Holland his whole live. It can be you or me. On Twitter I saw a lot of people who said that it has to be a refugee or someone with another believe. Why does this has to be the case? The news says every time other things and I don’t know who or what we can believe. First people spread on Twitter that is has to be someone from Poland and that wasn’t the case. After that they said that it has to be a refugee out of Afghanistan or Pakistan, but that wasn’t the case as well. Now they say that it is someone from Tunisia, but does this has to be the case? I honestly think that we can’t believe anyone anymore when it is about this kind of things.

The media

I don’t say the media is wrong, actually, the media is most of the time right, but they just go with the steam of rumours. First they have it wrong and then everyone start to believe them. After a while they are right, but then everyone start to hesitate them.

The thoughts

I question myself a lot, what are the thoughts of this terrorist? Is this just out of pure revenge, because we have a better life than this person? Or just for a whole different reason. We saw that IS has a person who says to commit these attacks. Why would someone follow this leader? Why would you even commit an attack? To attack and kill innocent people? Why? Why would you steal a life from someone who is innocent? Why would you destroy a family? Why would you hurt so many people? Of course too many questions and we won’t get an answer on these questions. There are a lot of opinions and thoughts about this subject, but how can we know that this is the truth? To really get knowledge of this, we have to get in the thoughts of the terrorist and unfortunately that is impossible.
