I wrote about my first day in Rome last week. This day I visited Vatican city and I discovered a bit of the city. The second day I went to the Colosseum. I went inside as well and it was really amazing!
On these pictures the colosseum looks pretty quiet, but that wasn’t the case. When you go the Colosseum, you really need to think about all the people. About 1000 Chinese people and also 10000 selfie sticks. It is definitely worth it!
The Colosseum is really pretty and the view looks really pretty as well. You can go to the second floor and you definitely need to remember that. The view was beautiful and you come across a lot of things. On the second floor you can see a lot of excavations as well.
Out of the Colosseum you can also overview the city. When you want to use the metro or the bus a lot, then it is definitely a big recommendation to buy a Roma pass. With this pass you can travel for free with the bus or metro and you can also visit two musea. When you go to the Colosseum you can also go to two other places for free. We didn’t know that, otherwise we would go to these places as well.
When you love a lot of sight seeings (and walking!), then Rome is definitely a big recommendation. You can see a lot of things here and you can’t see enough.
After the Colosseum we took a look to the environment as well. Here is a lot to see as well. We came across a beautiful port what looks a bit like the port in Paris. What the name is on the port, don’t ask me. I have the idea that it doesn’t mean anything, but that probably wouldn’t be the case.
After taking a look at the environment and climbing a lot of mountains (just a joke!), we went to search for a nice place to sit. After walking for a long time, your feet are really tired. We found a nice place to sit with a nice view on these buildings.
You can see a lot of beautiful things everywhere. On some places there are a lot of people, what is pretty logical of course. The most places are actually pretty quiet!
I now notice on the last picture that the last bus looks like it drove against the other bus. This is probably not the case. Well I hope that.
I also came across this nice tame seagull. Normally I am very scared for seagulls, but this seagull was pretty nice. I could get pretty close to the seagull and he just stand still.
The second day in Rome was a succes again. I have had an amazing time in Rome and I have way more to show and way more to tell! Next week more!
