I’ve got asked a lot how I can increase my blog traffic with Pinterest. I knew a lot about this already, but I didn’t have enough results to tell how you have to do this. I have tried a lot of different strategies and I have found a really good way to increase my blog traffic. I am going to tell about this way today.

Pinterest business account
As first, it is super easy and handy to make your own business account. You can do this by signing up on this site. When you have made an account, then you need to add your blog URL to the settings. You aren’t done yet because now comes the hard part. You need to press the button ‘Confirm website’. After that, you need to add the meta tag to your index.html. I thought this was pretty hard, but it is worth it. If you don’t get it, then you can leave a comment below. I will answer it directly!
Rich pins
Rich pins are really important to grow your blog. For this you need a business account, so make sure you didn’t miss the last step. This step is very easy. Just make sure you have a business account. Next, you go to this site to sign up for rich pins. You just add your blog URL to this site. After a couple of hours or a couple of days, you get an e-mail that your rich pins are activated. When you have activated your rich pins, your pins get a title and below information about the article.
A good description
It sounds super easy, but a good description is seriously hard. Try to use many keywords in your descriptions. Where would you search for when you search for this kind of pin? I think it just takes a lot of exercises.
Vertical pins
I always use Canva to make vertical pins. Make sure you choose a good title and not a short picture. Long vertical pictures attract a lot of attention.
Pin much

Group boards
This is really the most important step. In group boards, you can share your pins super easy. Most pinners share your pins again. Because of group boards, you get seen by a lot of people. Don’t forget to share pins from other pinners as well. I recommend you to pin 20/80. 20% of yourself and 80% of others. I don’t really follow this rule, but I try to pin from other as much as I can. I have a list below with the group boards where I am in. Some are in English, but some are also in Dutch.

Well, with these group boards you will definitely have a good start. With most group board you have to send the owner an e-mail and you have to follow the Pinterest account or the board. Most of the time this is in the description. Also, pay attention to where the group stands for. Sometimes it is only for beauty bloggers, sometimes for everyone and sometimes for lifestyle bloggers etc.
