A while ago I’ve received an highlighter. I thought the colours were really beautiful, but more for an eyeshadow. I am very pale, so for me many colours are way too dark. Also this highlighter. Still, it worked out pretty good for me and now I use this highlighter for my daily make-up.

The highlighter

This is the highlighter. On the first look, the highlighter looks pretty normal, but actually I thought immediately it was way too dark. Still, I thought that the pigmentation would be bad, so it looks way lighter on my skin. Well, that wasn’t the case.

I immediately noticed that this highlighter was way too dark for me and I thought this was really sad. I was so hyped for this highlighter and I thought it would be awesome to use an highlighter for special occasions. I just don’t like to have a huge stripe on my face and that’s why I don’t use this palette as highlighter..

As you can see, I have used this palette pretty enhanced. I use this palette as a daily eyeshadow. I already feel the question marks through my computer screen and that’s why I will explain you why I use this highlighter as an eyeshadow.

Swatches

This is the highlighter on my skin. As you can see the highlighter is way too dark for me. I think this is the case for most people, because I am probably not the only one with a pale skin. Because this highlighter is way too dark for me, I thought it was perfect to use this highlighter as an eyeshadow. I was searching for a rose-gold eyeshadow and I already come in the right way.

I’ve made this picture with a flash. The highlighter or eyeshadow is definitely beautiful. I have always been a huge fan of glitters in an eyeshadow and the colours are definitely made for me. Bright colours or really dark colours are nothing for me and these colours are perfectly between it.

On the eyes

On the picture you see the eyeshadow on my eyes. No explosion on my eyes, just a simple and neutral look. For school I think it is always important to look nice, but also I don’t want to wear too many makeup to school. I never use bronzer and also no highlighter (where it is meant for!). I am definitely in love with this colour and I won’t say goodbye to this highlighter as eyeshadow.

Now I question myself if you would ever use an highlighter as eyeshadow. To be honest, I’ve never heard of this, but I can also make a mistake. I am super happy with the results.
