I came across this product a number of times, but I actually didn’t believe it at all. I thought it wasn’t going to work at all and that it would be a waste of money. What the AfterSpa Magic Makeup Remover promises

With the use of this cheerful AfterSpa Magic Makeup Remover your make-up disappears like snow in the sun. How? Very simple: wet your face with warm water and with this miracle cloth you will remove your regular and even your waterproof make-up. Then wash it and it will be ready for another turn.

Well .. To be very honest that sounds a bit too good to be true. That’s why I have tested it!

This is what the product looks like. It actually looks like a very simple pink cloth. Actually a kind of washcloth. I actually didn’t have that much confidence in it. The cloth just feels very soft, but otherwise, it doesn’t feel very special.

When I tried the product on my skin, I was really surprised. It is working! My makeup goes off in a swipe and I don’t have to scrub or anything at all. I also don’t need to use a liquid makeup remover or anything. Actually, it is very good for the environment, because you don’t have empty bottles anymore.

However, I never wear a lot of makeup on my face during the week. Actually, I only use a little concealer, eyeshadow, mascara, and highlighter. These products are very easy to remove!

Swatches

Here is a swatch with some different types of products. From top to bottom: First I applied an eye shadow swatch, then eyeliner and finally a red lipstick.

As you can see, the eye shadow swatch is really easy to remove. This went off very quickly. The waterproof eyeliner and the lipstick are unfortunately a lot harder. Especially the lipstick is just a lot harder. Mascara and eyeshadow are therefore very easy, but waterproof products are just harder to remove.

How do you use it?

• Make the magic make-up remover wet (for example, under the shower!).
• Use the cloth with a few movements and see if everything is off.
• That’s it!

How can this work?

But okay .. How does it work? I looked it up!

The makeup remover is made of a specially knitted polyester/silk fiber that is finer than human hair. So when the remover is wet, a hydromechanical process is created that ensures that you can easily take off your makeup. Okay, I still don’t understand it, but let’s just assume that it works.

Is it a recommendation?

I think so! However, if you wear a lot of makeup, then you might get in trouble because you have to wash the cloth quite often. I don’t wear a lot of make-up on weekdays, so it’s not a problem for me. However, if you wear a lot of makeup, you might need two wipes, so that sometimes you can wash the first one and then use the second one.
