In general, bloggers meetings are much fun. You get to know other bloggers, meet amazing people and learn more about blogging. Still, some things went wrong.
Cycling
This time, the bloggers meeting was in Amsterdam. Cycling in Amsterdam isn’t a big recommendation. We knew that Amsterdam was super busy and that it would be pretty hard to cycle through Amsterdam. I didn’t expect the mean people and the weird roads. People screaming, one-way roads and all traffic lights are just really confusing. I cycle pretty often, but I wasn’t used to this. Soon I will publish another article about cycling through Amsterdam.
Trains
Another vehicle! We had chosen the perfect day (not). The trains weren’t driving, we needed to go with the bus and the trains were way too late.
Still, the bloggers meeting was a lot of fun. I needed to travel two stops alone and then I already came across Joyce where I could talk a lot with. We arrived in Amsterdam at 11:15 and we needed to wait until 12 pm until the other bloggers came. I knew Tessa already, but I didn’t know Annemae, Emma, and Merle yet. We immediately went to get our bikes and after that, we wanted to get to know each other more. Well, we figured out fast that we could barely talk on the bikes.
As the first destination we arrived at the Albert Cuypmarkt. A nice, but busy market where you don’t get through with your bike. Finally, we got springled with fish water. This was really refreshing. After that we went to Bagels and Beans. We ate a delicious bagel with something to drink. I think everyone wanted to drink something and everyone was pretty hungry as well. After we ate something and talked a lot, we went to walk in the Pijp. When you cycle you need to watch everyone and that’s pretty hard if you want to take a look at the beautiful Amsterdam.
After we took a look at the Pijp, we went to a couple beautiful houses with different countries on it. Don’t ask me where this was because Emma led the way. After we did a quick photo session, it was time to go to the Vondelpark. I thought we could cycle here, but this wasn’t true. There were still aggressive people who just started ringing all the time, while they had all the room.
After our nice cycling tour through the Vondelpark, we went to Sticky Fingers. A super nice eating store, where we could also drink something. I took an iced coffee and that was definitely worth it. We stayed there too long, so the store was already closed when we went outside. Everyone was already gone, but we didn’t even notice this.
We wanted to do a couple of other things, but we didn’t have time for this because it was raining and we stayed way too long at the eating tent. We ate at 7 pm, but our food came pretty late. I took a delicious pizza with pesto. After that, it was already 9 pm and it was time to go back to the train. An amazing day, with amazing people.
I have definitely enjoyed this day and I especially want to thank the people who were there.
